Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to introduce the journal International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. This Special Issue focusing on "Occupational Health Nursing in Diverse Settings" is dedicated to the cutting edge research and innovations in occupational health nursing. We are calling on articles highlighting research and innovative practices in occupational health, shedding light on critical issues that impact employee well-being.
Occupational health nursing publications normally cover a wide spectrum of workplaces, such as industries, mining, healthcare, construction. Work settings research, however, should look into a more holistic approach to worker health and safety across various sectors, and not just ordinary ones. This is to capture health and safety issues in the evolving work settings which encompasses the emerging world of work, such as remote and hybrid workplaces.
With so much innovation in workplaces, and the diverse worker demographics, occupational health nurse practitioners need to come up with creative and innovative ways of addressing out of the ordinary workplace occurrences.
The articles featured in this issue explore the following:
- Occupational health in the transport industry
- Health and safety in mobile workplaces
- Occupational health policy
- Digital health and technology in occupational health
- Women’s health and safety in diverse work settings
The contributions come from a diverse range of disciplines, reflecting the multifaceted nature of occupational health.
We encourage submission of case studies, reviews or original research papers that will inspire new research directions, and inform evidence-based practices in occupational health nursing.
