Interdisciplinary Insights into Game Theory, Mechanism Design, and Multi-Agent Systems

We are thrilled to announce a forthcoming Special Issue that explores the multifaceted realm encompassing game theory, mechanism design, and multi-agent systems. This Special Issue is set to provide a broader scope, delving into various facets of algorithm design, online markets, and optimization. The primary objective is to investigate how average-case analysis and experimental methods can complement traditional worst-case analysis in these domains. By doing so, we aim to push the boundaries of our understanding and provide valuable insights into the practical applications of these disciplines. Average-case analysis offers a unique lens through which we can scrutinize the performance of algorithms and systems in scenarios that are more representative of real-world conditions. Experimental methods empower researchers to validate theoretical models in real-world settings, offering a bridge between theory and practice.

We invite submissions that not only address the themes of this Special Issue but also extend their reach to encompass a wide array of related subjects. These may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Behavioral game theory: analyzing how human behavior influences strategic decision making in the context of game theory.
2. Dynamic games: exploring the ever-evolving world of strategic interactions over time, capturing the essence of real-world dynamic scenarios.
3. Market design: investigating the intricate design of markets and mechanisms, with an emphasis on facilitating efficient exchanges and resource allocation.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-anonymized peer-review process.
