Advancements in Social Choice and Mechanism Design

Dear Colleagues,

Recent theoretical and empirical developments in social choice theory, game theory, and their applications to mechanism design have gradually begun to increase both their scope and their cross-fertilization with related research fields including algorithmic game theory, computational social choice, and artificial intelligence.

This Special Issue focuses precisely on such an emerging and broader view of social choice and mechanism design, inviting contributions on a wide range of topics, including (but by no means limited to) the following: aggregation protocols and voting systems, matching protocols, allocation rules and auction protocols, classification and identification protocols, deliberative decision-making procedures, and communication and bargaining protocols.

Submissions may be theoretical, empirical, or experimental, and interdisciplinary contributions from economics, political science, operations research, and mathematics are encouraged. By bringing together diverse perspectives, this Special Issue aims to advance our understanding of the most recent achievements of mechanism design and its current prospects.
