Exploring Artificial-Intelligence-Generated Content: Research on Content Creation, Evaluation and Humans-in-the-Loop

In the swiftly evolving landscape of digital content, artificial-intelligence-generated content (AIGC) stands at the forefront, driving a transformative wave across various media.

This Special Issue is dedicated to exploring the multifaceted dimensions of AIGC, encompassing content generation and evaluation and the intricate role of humans in the loop. We will provide a comprehensive platform for researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts to delve into the latest breakthroughs, methodologies, and applications within the realm of AIGC.

AIGC has revolutionized the way that we create and consume content, leveraging advanced AI algorithms to produce text, images, audio, and video autonomously. This Special Issue focuses on three critical areas of AIGC: the methodologies and innovations in content generation, the frameworks and metrics for content evaluation, and the dynamic interplay between humans and AI in content creation and adjustment processes.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:

AIGC Content Generation:

• Advanced deep learning and natural language processing models for content creation;
• AI techniques for generating high-quality text, images, audio, and video;
• Collaborative AI and human content creation tools and methodologies;
• Innovations in AI-driven storytelling and creative writing.

AIGC Content Evaluation:

• Automated tools and frameworks for evaluating the quality and authenticity of AIGC;
• Metrics and benchmarks for assessing the creativity, coherence, and relevance of AI-generated content;
• Comparative studies on human and AI-generated content quality;
• Ensuring fairness, diversity, and ethical considerations in AI-generated content.

Humans-in-the-Loop (HITL) in AIGC:

• Techniques for incorporating human feedback to improve AI-generated content;
• Analysis of human cognitive and emotional responses to AIGC;
• Case studies on successful human-AI collaboration in content creation;
• Societal and ethical impacts of AIGC, including job displacement and new opportunities in creative industries.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
