Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

In the context of the rapid evolution of educational technology, intelligent systems and digital innovations are transforming the ways in which we approach learning, teaching, and human development. From the provision of personalized learning environments to the facilitation of collaborative platforms, these technologies have the potential to foster active engagement, support critical thinking and promote all-round growth for learners at all levels. This Special Issue, “Transforming the Future of Education: Empowering Active Learning and All-Round Development through Intelligent Technologies,” is to examine the diverse ways in which educational innovations can transform learning experiences and promote all-round development.

This Special Issue calls for research that examines the impact of a range of intelligent technologies—including adaptive learning systems, immersive environments, AI-driven platforms, and educational data analytics—on both the cognitive and socio-emotional aspects of learning. We welcome studies that investigate the role of intelligent systems in fostering collaboration, supporting STEM education, advancing computational thinking, and addressing educational equity and well-being. By bringing together perspectives from different academic disciplines, this Special Issue aims to provide insights into how these technologies can facilitate educational transformation and better prepare students for the demands and challenges of the future.

We invite original research articles, review articles, perspectives, and case studies that address themes including, but not limited to:

  • Adaptive and immersive learning environments;
  • AI- and data-driven approaches in education;
  • Computational thinking and STEM education;
  • Collaborative and social learning technologies;
  • Digital tools for all-round development and educational.

Through this Special Issue, we seek to contribute meaningful insights and innovative solutions that empower educators, enhance student engagement, and support sustainable, technology-driven educational practices. We look forward to your contributions, which will help to reimagine the future of education through the lens of intelligent technology.
