Dear Colleagues,
Pollinators play a fundamental role in maintaining global biodiversity and ecosystem functioning. By enabling the reproduction of a large proportion of flowering plants, they sustain plant diversity, support complex ecological interactions, and contribute significantly to agriculture and food security. The diversity and stability of the pollinator population are therefore closely linked to the resilience of both natural ecosystems and managed landscapes.
However, pollinator populations worldwide are increasingly threatened by multiple anthropogenic pressures, including habitat loss, agricultural intensification, pesticide use, invasive species, and climate change. These drivers can alter pollinator diversity, abundance, and distribution, potentially disrupting plant–pollinator interactions and ecological networks. Such changes may have cascading consequences for plant reproduction, community composition, and ecosystem services.
This Special Issue aims to collect original research and reviews on pollinator biodiversity and its role in ecosystem functioning under changing environmental conditions. We welcome contributions addressing, but not limited to, pollinator diversity and community dynamics, plant–pollinator interactions, the effects of land-use change and climate change on pollinators, the impacts of invasive species and agricultural systems on pollination, as well as conservation and management strategies to sustain pollinator diversity and pollination services.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Diversity is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
