The Role of Digital and Art-Based Interventions in Modern Mental Healthcare
This special issue belongs to the section “Psychiatric, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Mental healthcare is changing rapidly as technology and creative practices open new doors for prevention, treatment, and recovery. This Special Issue will bring together research and real-world insights on how digital tools—such as mobile apps, virtual reality, and online platforms—are reshaping access and engagement in mental healthcare. At the same time, we will highlight the power of art-based approaches, including visual arts, music, drama, and expressive writing, in supporting emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being.
We welcome contributions that explore theory, empirical evidence, and practical strategies, as well as interdisciplinary work that connects psychology, behavioral science, technology, and the arts. Studies that examine integration of digital and creative methods, cultural relevance, and ethical considerations are especially encouraged. Our goal is to showcase innovative practices and spark dialogue about how these approaches can complement traditional care models and help shape the future of mental health services.
