Dear Colleagues,
Electric vehicles (EVs) are rapidly gaining traction as a sustainable and environmentally friendly mode of transportation. As demand for EVs continues to grow, the need for efficient energy management systems becomes increasingly important to optimize their performance and extend their driving range. In this Special Issue, particular attention will be paid to electric motors used in electric vehicles and their control. Given that energy storage systems play a crucial role in electric vehicles, papers focused on energy management will be considered in this Special Issue. Particular attention will be given to the modeling and identification of storage systems such as lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors.

Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
