Dear Colleagues,
In the last decades, the field of reproductive technologies has seen the contribution of many scholars. Research, and related published manuscripts, have embraced several areas, all falling within the central theme of the technology of reproduction. The interests of many authors have indeed spanned over the study of molecules with the potential to improve the efficiency of each single step of the in vitro embryo production protocols, from the identification of markers associated with good-quality embryo development to the refinement of cryopreservation strategies. Then, the development of technology enabling the retrieval of oocytes from antral follicles of live animals has made it possible to run and exploit in parallel the best genetics from both the male and female sides. In this Special Issue, a comprehensive review of the state-of-the-art on reproductive technologies in farm animals, with emphasis on in vitro embryo production, will be provided to the readers, both scholars and researchers.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Animals is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
