Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The modern poultry industry faces a range of challenges, including the global ban on antibiotic growth promoters, increasing concerns over environmental sustainability, and the growing demand for animal welfare-friendly production systems. These issues necessitate a shift toward innovative, science-based solutions to maintain productivity and ensure sustainable development. Nutrition, feeding strategies, and behavior significantly influence the productivity, health, welfare, and sustainability of poultry farming. Poultry nutrition and management practices have improved substantially, driven by advancements in animal nutrition science, consumer demands for higher animal welfare standards, and sustainability concerns related to environmental impacts.

This Special Issue aims to explore innovative research and recent developments in the impact of dietary supplements on poultry health, novel feeding technologies, practical management solutions for minimizing stress-related behaviors, and methodologies for reducing poultry production’s carbon footprint. We invite high-quality original research articles, comprehensive reviews, and innovative case studies that focus on nutrition optimization, behavioral improvements, sustainable poultry production methods, and novel insights into feeding behavior, aiming to enhance poultry performance, health, welfare, and environmental sustainability.
