Cover Story: This work presents a real-world predictive maintenance solution in a food-processing facility, combining IoT sensor data on motor temperature and vibration with ERP production records. Ensemble machine-learning models such as XGBoost forecast critical threshold breaches up to ten minutes ahead, enabling proactive interventions and preventing costly failures. Through careful feature engineering, rigorous preprocessing, and sliding-window validation, the approach delivers high accuracy for temperature forecasting and promising results for vibration prediction. The deployed dashboard and API integrate into daily operations, reducing downtime, lowering maintenance costs, and improving equipment reliability—providing a scalable blueprint for Industry 4.0 manufacturers. View this paper
