Cover Story: Recent social changes have brought new challenges to contemporary organizations, such as appropriately managing the work–family/family–work dyad and promoting task performance. Work–family conflict established a negative relationship with well-being. Well-being improved performance and moderated the relationship between conflict and task performance. Organizations should provide employees with situations that promote their well-being, especially in Portugal with its relationship culture, which means that considerable additional time should be devoted to personal and family matters for people to fit in and be accepted harmoniously.
