Dear Colleagues,

Laser and terahertz photonics technologies have become core enablers for next-generation 6G communication, precision sensing, and advanced optoelectronic manufacturing. This Topic focuses on cutting-edge advances in optical fiber lasers, ultrafast lasers, and terahertz photonic systems, spanning novel optoelectronic materials, micro/nanostructured devices, multi-field modulation mechanisms, and industrial landing applications. We welcome original research and review works covering laser design and amplification, terahertz detection/modulation devices, laser–material interaction, photonic biosensing and environmental monitoring, 6G photonic components, and laser-based manufacturing equipment. This Topic aims to bridge fundamental photonics research with engineering practice, promoting interdisciplinary integration across optics, electronics, sensing, and mechanical engineering.
