Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue “Applied Economics: Technical Progress” of the journal World seeks to explore the dynamic intersections of technical progress with economic growth, technological innovation, and broader societal impacts. Our focus is on understanding how new technologies influence economic structures, enhance sustainability, and drive social changes across global and local scales.
The purpose of this issue is to study the impact of technological advancements on various areas, such as urban and rural development, agricultural economy, and green development. The goal is to understand better how technical progress can promote economic resilience and facilitate adaptation to environmental and societal changes. The scope of this issue is not limited to these areas only.
This issue aims to add to the existing literature on innovation and its practical outcomes in economic and social contexts. By providing new empirical data, theoretical models, and comprehensive reviews, it will connect the dots between innovation and sustainable growth and address gaps in understanding the role of technology in driving such growth.
Aligned with the commitment of the journal towards multidisciplinary research, this Special Issue aims to bring together diverse perspectives from natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The goal is to offer a holistic view of technical progress and its multifaceted impacts on contemporary issues, contributing to advancing the knowledge and understanding of these complex topics.
