Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of pediatric surgery is experiencing rapid advancements, driven by novel insights and technological innovations. Surgeons are increasingly utilizing minimally invasive techniques, such as robotic-assisted surgery and neuroendoscopy, to reduce trauma and improve recovery times. Advanced imaging modalities, including intraoperative neuroimaging and tractography, provide unprecedented visualization of the pediatric anatomy, enabling more precise surgical planning and execution. Furthermore, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine are emerging as promising avenues for treating congenital anomalies and promoting healing. These novel approaches are leading to improved surgical outcomes and a better quality of life for pediatric patients.
