Exercise Interventions for Health Across the Lifespan
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Regular physical activity and structured exercise interventions play a fundamental role in the promotion of health and the prevention of disease across the human lifespan. However, the effectiveness of exercise interventions depends on age-related physiological, psychological, and functional characteristics, as well as individual health status and environmental context. This Special Issue aims to present high-quality research examining exercise interventions designed to enhance health outcomes from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and older age. We welcome original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, and applied studies addressing aerobic, resistance, neuromuscular, multicomponent, and lifestyle-based exercise interventions. Topics of interest include physical, cardiometabolic, cognitive, and psychosocial health outcomes, as well as preventive and rehabilitative approaches in both healthy and clinical populations. Particular emphasis is placed on translational and real-world applications, interdisciplinary perspectives, and evidence-based exercise prescription across different life stages. By integrating findings across age groups and health contexts, this Special Issue seeks to advance current knowledge, highlight age-specific adaptations and mechanisms, and provide practical insights for researchers, clinicians, educators, and practitioners involved in exercise science, public health, and preventive medicine.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers).
