Feature Papers to Celebrate the Inaugural Issue of SANPP
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to present the inaugural issue of the Swiss Archives of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SANPP). SANPP carries a century old tradition of scientific exchange among psychiatrists and neurologists in Switzerland and beyond. With this continuation, the journal marks a new hallmark in its long history, with the aim of bringing the fields of neurology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy closer together through international communication. In today's society, mental health and its interaction with external and environmental factors call for rapid adaptation and constant refinement in diagnostics and treatment. As the complexity of neurological and psychiatric conditions, individually and as co-occurring components, is yet to be fully understood, we welcome original contributions set in clinically relevant, patient-oriented contexts that help advance this understanding. This may include research articles, reviews, and case reports addressing novel diagnostic techniques, precision medicine, prevention, treatment strategies, and/or AI-assisted approaches in psychiatry and neurology. We particularly encourage submissions with a focus on integrating psychotherapy with neurological care as well as public health perspectives such as disease burden and health care services in the field. Beyond these areas, we also welcome work engaging with urgent and timely questions in mental health and neurological disease that carry broader societal relevance. We look forward to your contributions as we open this new chapter for SANPP.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Swiss Archives of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 1000 CHF (Swiss Francs).
