About Swiss Archives of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
Aims
Swiss Archives of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SANPP) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge at the interface of neurology, psychiatry, psychotherapy, and the neurosciences. Building on its longstanding tradition, the journal provides a platform for clinically relevant and scientifically rigorous contributions that address disorders of the brain and mind across the lifespan.
SANPP aims to promote interdisciplinary exchange among clinicians, researchers, and scholars working in neurology, psychiatry, psychotherapy, neuropsychology, cognitive science, and related fields. The journal places particular emphasis on integrative and translational approaches to neuropsychiatric conditions, reflecting the increasingly overlapping boundaries between disciplines. Contributions that enhance understanding of diagnosis, pathophysiology, and treatment in real-world clinical contexts are especially encouraged.
The journal publishes original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, and clinically oriented contributions. In addition, SANPP welcomes submissions addressing clinical controversies, case-based discussions, and developments in health services research and global mental health. Emerging areas of interest include, but are not limited to, psychotherapy research, digital and precision medicine, psychedelic-assisted therapies, and interdisciplinary models of care.
SANPP also recognizes the importance of ethical, philosophical, and societal perspectives in the neurosciences and mental health. Submissions that engage with these dimensions, as well as those that explore innovations in education and clinical practice, are within the journal’s scope. Through its interdisciplinary focus, SANPP seeks to serve as a central forum for advancing integrated, patient-centered approaches to neurological and psychiatric care.
