Terpenes, Steroids and Their Derivatives, 3rd Edition

Dear Colleagues,

Terpenes and steroids, including their derivatives and general isoprenoids, as natural secondary metabolites, have held stable roles in human and veterinary medicine, supramolecular chemistry, food and cosmetic R&D, industry, and a growing number of other fields, with new applications emerging. Their importance comes from the fact that they are mostly bound to renewable sources, which, in fact, makes them valuable within a circular economy. Terpenes and steroids are also used for their stereochemistry, regioselectivity, chirality, and many other features in a range of disciplines within science, development, and industry, on a scale so large that they have become indispensable.

The third edition of this Special Issue will highlight current developments in all fields connected to terpene and steroid research and utilization, as a sequel to the two previous successful Special Issues of Molecules edited by Pavel Drašar.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
