The Orthopaedics section of Medicina is dedicated to publishing high-quality scientific work relevant to daily clinical practice, with the potential to change the way orthopaedic specialists approach patient care. Our expert Editorial Board ensures that all submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process, guaranteeing high scientific standards and timely publication through proactive screening.

This section welcomes a wide range of topics and subspecialties within orthopaedics, making it suitable for both trainees and specialists. We strive to reach readers across the globe, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusivity. This vision is further reinforced by our internationally represented Editorial Board, which includes Section Editor-in-Chief and board members from most continents and across all orthopaedic subspecialties.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: orthopaedic trauma, fracture care, sports medicine, arthroscopy, adult reconstruction (hip and knee), paediatric orthopaedics, spine surgery (adult and paediatric, degenerative and deformity), foot and ankle surgery, bone tumours, shoulder and elbow surgery, hand and microvascular surgery, bone infection, and biomechanics. We also welcome submissions in emerging areas such as robotics in orthopaedics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications in diagnostics, imaging, and surgical planning, regenerative medicine, and nanomolecular biology.
