Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a special issue on ‘Physiotherapy in Patients with Musculoskeletal Disorders’ Physiotherapy treatment is a fundamental part of the multidisciplinary approach to many musculoskeletal diseases. The joint and coordinated work of this healthcare specialty with other sanitary areas can promote successful treatment of these patients, where the original injury can lead to a more complex biopsychosocial condition.

This special issue aims to explore the latest advances in the prevention, diagnosis, and physiotherapy treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, providing a platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research and innovative practices.

We invite you to submit articles addressing various aspects of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in physiotherapy, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Innovative strategies for the prevention of sequelae resulting from musculoskeletal disease and their application in real-world settings.
  • Advanced and novel physiotherapy techniques adapted to musculoskeletal diseases.
  • Use of technology and personalized approaches in the assessment and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal diseases.
  • Therapeutic methods that combine physiotherapy techniques with techniques from other bio-health areas in a multidisciplinary approach to these patients.

Our goal is to compile a comprehensive collection of research that not only improves our understanding of the mechanisms of musculoskeletal injuries and sequelae, but also contributes to the development of safer and more effective prevention and physiotherapy protocols. By bringing together diverse perspectives from experts in physiotherapy, medicine, nursing, psychology, and related fields, we hope to push the boundaries of current knowledge and practice.

We look forward to your contributions, which will help shape the future of physiotherapy in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases, ensuring that these patients can achieve maximum functionality and minimizing the sequelae and implications of these conditions on their daily activities.
