Advances in Numerical Methods and Models in Engineering
This special issue belongs to the section "E: Applied Mathematics".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Numerical methods and modeling are the foundation of modern engineering solutions, providing a rigorous mathematical framework for analysis, optimization, and prediction in complex, often analytically intractable, problems. The integration of advanced algorithms and computational models facilitates breakthroughs in fields such as mechanical engineering, materials science, biomedicine, and energy. Reliable and efficient numerical models are essential for improving the accuracy of simulations, reducing the cost of full-scale experiments, and accelerating the development of innovative technologies. This Special Issue aims to collect cutting-edge research demonstrating innovative numerical methods and their effective application to current engineering problems. We welcome papers on the development and analysis of algorithms, methods for solving multiscale and multiphysics problems, the application of machine learning in numerical modeling, and model verification and validation.
If you have expertise in this area, I encourage you to submit a paper. If you are unable to submit anything at this time, please share this invitation with your colleagues. Alternatively, you can provide us with their contact information and we will contact them directly.
If you require an extension or have any questions about this Special Issue, please feel free to contact me by replying to this email.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
Prof. Dr. Evgenia Kirillova
Guest Editor
Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
