Recent Advancement in Mathematics of Soft Computing Strategies and Applications

This special issue belongs to the section “E1: Mathematics and Computer Science“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recently, there have been tremendous technological innovations, especially in the availability of varied types of large data sets, data handing and analytics of various application domains, such as social, medical imaging, disease, life style, industrial, etc.,  where complex pattern finding, classification, optimization and  mathematical model development are the most significant and challenging tasks.

The advancement in the mathematical disciplines, i.e., statistics, probability, calculus, discrete mathematics and systems theories, etc., facilitate to address the problem of effective data analytics of complex datasets with significant inferences, which consequently leading to novel possibilities for futurist real-time problem analytics.

In order to disseminate the updated knowledge in this field, we invite articles in the form of original research articles, reviews, or case studies primarily focused on advancement in mathematical model. Computational framework, classification methods such as deep learning machine learning, etc., play an important role for data handing with current challenges.

Well defined research work with scientific innovation, novelty and suitably referenced articles are encouraged and welcomed.

Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Discrete mathematical structures and application;
  • Advances in algebra;
  • Deep learning machine learning and application;
  • Statistics and probability;
  • Big data analytics;
  • Multivariate optimization;
  • Matrix computation;
  • Health informatics;
  • Medical imaging;
  • Emerging topics in applied mathematics.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
