New Advances in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Based on Mathematical Methods
This special issue belongs to the section “E: Applied Mathematics“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and robotics is increasingly driven by innovative mathematical methods, which lay a solid foundation for solving complex technical challenges and expanding application boundaries. This Special Issue aims to gather cutting-edge research achievements at the intersection of mathematical methods, artificial intelligence and robotics, providing a high-quality academic platform for global researchers to exchange ideas and promote innovation.
We warmly invite original research articles, reviews and case studies focusing on, but not limited to, the following topics:
world models for embodied artificial intelligence; control theory of large language models; formal methods for reasoning models; mathematical methods for agentic AI; statistical learning and deep learning methods in robotic control; nonlinear dynamics in intelligent systems; numerical methods for AI-driven robotics applications; reinforcement learning for swarm robotics; multi-agent learning via game theory; optimization theory for foundation models.
The core objectives of this Special Issue are to showcase novel mathematical approaches applied in artificial intelligence and robotics, disseminate the latest research progress in this interdisciplinary field and foster collaborative exploration of future development directions. We look forward to your valuable submissions that contribute to advancing the synergy between mathematical theory and intelligent technology.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
