Blockchain and Intelligent Computing: Privacy, Security, and Theoretical Methods

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to submit your latest research findings to the Special Issue entitled “Blockchain and Intelligent Computing: Privacy, Security, and Theoretical Methods”. This Issue aims to showcase cutting-edge developments and foster interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersection of distributed ledger technologies and intelligent systems. With the rapid digital transformation across industries, the integration of blockchain and intelligent computing has become crucial for enhancing security, transparency, automation, and efficiency in next-generation applications. This Special Issue provides a timely platform for researchers and practitioners to share innovative solutions and address emerging challenges in this dynamic field.

This Special Issue aims to compile high-quality contributions that explore novel theories, methodologies, and real-world applications combining blockchain and intelligent computing. Topics of interest include—but are not limited to—decentralized AI, scalable and secure consensus mechanisms, smart contract enhancement through machine learning, and trustworthy intelligent systems based on blockchain. This theme aligns closely with the journal’s scope of publishing pioneering work in computer science, distributed systems, and artificial intelligence, particularly those advancing the state of the art in secure and intelligent information processing.

In this Special Issue, original research articles are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • AI-enhanced blockchain architectures and protocols;
  • Blockchain for secure and explainable AI;
  • Decentralized intelligence in IoT, edge, and cloud environments;
  • Smart contracts and autonomous agents with embedded intelligence;
  • Privacy-preserving computation and zero-knowledge proofs;
  • Consensus mechanisms optimized for AI workflows;
  • Interoperability and scalability in blockchain-intelligent systems;
  • Blockchain-based solutions for data integrity in AI training and inference;
  • Real-world applications in finance, supply chain, healthcare, and smart cities.

I look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Mathematics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
