New Frontiers of Cardiovascular Diseases Management – “Preclinical and Clinical Strategies”

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiovascular pathologies constitute a serious and important socio-economic burden. Diseases of the heart and of the vascular system are the leading cause of death worldwide. In the Western world, the number of people at high risk of cardiovascular disease is steadily increasing, but about half of these are unaware of their risk status. This phenomenon intensifies the risk, because it makes it invisible and therefore does not allow the deployment of all the tools necessary to contain complications and implement appropriate therapeutic initiatives. The management and prevention of cardiovascular diseases represents a great challenge for the health care system. The progression of preclinical and clinical knowledge is of fundamental importance. Knowing the pathophysiological mechanisms and their management will allow the progressive improvement of clinical-therapeutic medical skills.

On this basis, we invite investigators to contribute original research as well as review articles addressing the identification of novel preclinical and clinical findings to manage cardiovascular diseases. This will improve our knowledge of the possible therapeutic approaches and create new opportunities to improve patients’ outcome.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

- Identification of novel molecules and mechanisms involved in the onset and progression of cardiovascular diseases;

- Novel potential therapeutic approaches to reduce the onset of cardiovascular diseases;

- Identification of novel management strategies to prevent cardiovascular diseases;

- Discovery of novel clinical and pharmacological approaches to slow cardiovascular disease progression.

Manuscript Submission Information

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
