Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The Special Issue “Updates in Pancreas and Colorectal Adenocarcinoma” aims to consolidate current knowledge and recent advancements related to these malignancies. It will serve as a platform for presenting innovative research, evolving clinical practices, and future directions in the management of pancreatic and colorectal adenocarcinoma and their associated complications.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Molecular mechanisms and biomarkers: Exploration of molecular pathways involved in the onset and progression of these carcinomas, and identification of novel biomarkers for prognosis and disease monitoring.
  • Imaging techniques: Advances in imaging modalities such as endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT) that enhance diagnosis accuracy and treatment planning.
  • Therapeutic interventions: Development and evaluation of endoscopic or minimally invasive procedures that improve patient outcomes and reduce treatment-related morbidity.
  • Gut microbiota: Investigation of the role of gut microbiota in disease development and progression, and potential therapeutic implications of microbiome modulation.
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning: Application of AI and machine learning algorithms to predict disease severity, support clinical decision-making, and personalize treatment strategies.

We welcome high-quality submissions in the form of original research articles, review articles, meta-analyses, clinical trials, and case studies.

This Special Issue will provide a comprehensive resource for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of pancreatic and colorectal carcinoma. We look forward to your contributions that will enrich this critical field of study.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
