Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue on congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) in the Life journal invites medical professionals and researchers to share their insights and findings in this critical area of neonatology and prenatal medicine. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is a complex condition with significant implications for fetal and neonatal health, characterized by a defect in the diaphragm that allows abdominal organs to herniate into the thoracic cavity, leading to pulmonary hypoplasia and respiratory distress.

This Special Issue seeks manuscripts that explore cutting-edge research in the prenatal diagnosis of CDH, including advancements in imaging techniques and genetic testing. We also encourage submissions on prenatal management strategies, innovative fetal interventions, and surgical techniques that can improve survival rates and long-term outcomes. Additionally, the issue will focus on neonatal management and the development of comprehensive care protocols to enhance rehabilitation and quality of life for affected infants.

By contributing to this Special Issue, researchers and clinicians can share valuable knowledge that may shape future diagnostic and treatment paradigms, ultimately improving patient outcomes. We welcome your expertise and insights to advance the understanding and management of congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Life is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
