Polymer Composites

The section “Polymer Composites” of the Journal of Composites Science aims to publish relevant contributions covering the preparation, characterization, and applications of polymer-based composites and nanocomposites. This section aspires to implement an active and open forum for results dissemination and for debating cutting-edge approaches and methodologies in the field of polymer composites. We therefore encourage the submission of original research articles and reviews reporting significant and innovative advances in the field.

The scope of this section includes, but is not limited to, the following topics related to polymer-based micro- (PMCs) and nanocomposites (PNCs):

• Processing of PMCs and PNCs (melt and solution);
• Characterization of PMCs and PNCs;
• Applications of PMCs and PNCs;
• Recycling of PMCs and PNCs;
• Functional PMCs and PNCs;
• Properties-processing-structure relationships in PMCs and PNCs;
• Mechanical and morphological modeling of PMCs and PNCs
• Photo-, chemo-, biodegradation of PMCs and PNCs
• PMCs and PNCs with biobased or biodegradable matrices and/or biofillers;
• Stabilization of PMCs and PNCs;
• Modification and/or functionalization of PMCs and PNCs;
