Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
With the increase in digital data generation, technological complexities and online activities, data security and privacy protection have become a legal necessity. Moreover, recent data privacy solutions and advances employed to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA triad) of data have become more sophisticated and significantly challenging in light of current and evolving cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
This Special Issue focuses on the emerging technologies and technological challenges pivotal in safeguarding data in the current and emerging threat landscape. From artificial intelligence (AI) and robust encryption to blockchain and other privacy-enhancing technologies, this Special Issue focuses on current innovations and advancements that not only reinforce data security and privacy protection but also investigate how data security is viewed, managed and realized in different domains via the integration of these technologies. We encourage original submissions from academia and industry on the most recent theoretical and applied advances, with a focus on data security and protection solutions.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs).
