New Insights into Mobile Robotics and Industrial Robotics
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The concept of mobile robots controlled by artificial intelligence techniques has attracted our attention and inspired our creative minds for decades. Currently, concepts in robotics that were formerly relegated to science fiction are turning into reality in several sectors, including industry, security, healthcare, and surveillance. Artificial intelligence (AI) might be included in several sorts of robotics to assist them in performing a range of jobs. AI-powered mobile robots need to be equipped with an array of sensors, including perception devices like accelerometers, 2D/3D cameras, proximity sensors, vibration sensors, and various environmental sensors, which provide them with data for real-time analysis and action.
By emphasizing recent advances in artificial intelligence for mobile robotics, this Special Issue hopes to draw in outstanding articles from distinguished scholars, professionals, and experts in related domains for the purpose of disseminating the most recent findings and showing a team effort to overcome these obstacles. The goal of this Special Issue is to encourage communication and cooperation across two multidisciplinary domains, with the objectives of fully using the potential of integrated AI, showing how mobile robots can enable AI, and how AI can enrich mobile robots to develop a smart industrial setup to carry out faster production.
The renowned journal Electronics welcomes you to submit innovative research ideas in the fields of artificial intelligence and mobile robots for the purpose of supporting and enhancing the technical advancements in autonomous systems. This Special Issue is looking for studies that investigate artificial intelligence implemented in a variety of mobile robot domains, including autonomous systems, assistive robotics, computer vision, human–robot interaction, industrial robotics, image classification, intelligent control, multi-robot systems, perceptions, reinforcement learning, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
