Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Gynecological cancers represent an imperative health problem because of their high and rising incidence, mortality, and burden on patient quality of life. They are responsible for more than 15% of all cancers in women and 15% of all cancer mortality in women worldwide, according to GLOBOCAN.

Major progress was made regarding more accurate diagnostic tools and new treatment modalities in gynecological and breast cancers. Nevertheless, many questions remain open regarding early diagnosis, optimal therapeutic options, and treatment sequences.

Implementing fully comprehensive diagnostic modalities, new screening tools, addressing disparities in different regions of the world, augmented surgical techniques, and utilizing innovative new drugs are priorities for continuously evolving and improving outcomes in gynecological cancers.

This Special Issue aims to facilitate access to information for gynecologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, imaging specialists, pathologists, and general practitioners.

Genetic factors play an important role in gynecologic cancers, and we gladly welcome articles regarding their impact on biomarker research and precision oncology.

The primary aim in managing these patients, alongside survival, is to enhance their quality of life; articles that assess this aspect and novel treatment modalities are crucial for elevating the standard of care.

High-quality original articles, multidisciplinary works, and well-designed meta-analyses and reviews will be encouraged to gain a deeper understanding of the current knowledge and to inform further research perspectives in the early diagnosis and management of women's cancers.
