10th Anniversary
The year 2022 marks the 10th anniversary of Atoms, a peer-reviewed open access journal devoted to all aspects of the atom. Atoms has published more than 500 papers. We are grateful to every author, reviewer, and academic editor whose support has helped us to get to where we are today. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

The inaugural issue was released. Atoms was published as a quarterly journal.

Atoms was Indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).

Atoms was Indexed by Scopus (Elsevier).

Atoms announced the first edition of the Travel Awards.

Atoms received its Citescore (1.20), which ranked 36/69 in the category of “Nuclear and High Energy Physics”, 105/173 in the category of “Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Optics”, and 239/397 in the category of “Condensed Matter Physics”.
Atoms received its Citescore (1.70), which ranked 23/37 in the category of “Physics, atomic, molecular and chemical”.
Atoms launched new positions—Topics Editor and Reviewer Editor.
Atoms received its Citescore (2.50). which ranked 36/75 in the category of “Nuclear and High Energy Physics”, 228/441 in the category of “Condensed Matter Physics”, and 111/192 in the category of “Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Optics”.

Atoms announced the first edition of the SI Best Paper Award.

Celebration Activities
Atoms 2023 Travel Award

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Atoms 2023 Travel Award, which will be granted to a junior scientist in this field of research. This award will provide financial support for the winner to attend a virtual or physical international conference based on research in the field of atoms, which will be held in 2023, in order to deliver a presentation, present a poster, or both.
