2017	Applied System Innovation was launched by MDPI and the International Institute of Knowledge Innovation and Invention (IIKII).
2018	The inaugural issue was released. ASI was published as a quarterly journal.
2020	ASI was indexed in Scopus - Elsevier.
2021	ASI was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics). ASI received its first CiteScore (2020) of 1.9.
2022	ASI adopted a bimonthly publication schedule. ASI received its 2021 CiteScore (3.2).
2023	ASI received its first Impact Factor (3.8). The CiteScore increased to 4.9.
2024	ASI received its 2023 Impact Factor (3.8). The 2023 CiteScore increased to 7.9. ASI was indexed in Ei Compendex.
2025	ASI received its 2024 Impact Factor (3.7). The CiteScore increased to 9.9.
2026	ASI adopted a monthly publication schedule.
