International Women’s Day—Accelerate Action

We are thrilled to join the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8th. This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action”, highlights the urgency of driving meaningful change toward gender equality. It calls for swift, decisive efforts to break down systemic barriers and biases that women face in both their personal and professional lives.
“Accelerate Action” is a worldwide call to acknowledge strategies, resources, and activities that positively impact women's advancement and support their implementation.
As part of MDPI’s answer to this call, we spotlight the various ways in which the open access publishing model can help to empower the female voice. Throughout the week we will be publishing three original blogs from MDPI female authors highlighting the successes of our journals, our employees, and the work that we have carried out to disseminate information around various pressing topics such as women’s health.
We have also curated a list of pertinent journals, articles and Special Issues on topics related to gender equity, women in the workplace and women’s health.
We invite you to join us in this celebration.
From all of us at MDPI—happy International Women’s Day!
