Cover Story: Modulation of the ordering temperatures in anilato-based heterometallic 2D ferrimagnets is possible by simply changing the solvent used in the synthesis of these honeycomb layered magnets. Thus, in the series of magnets [MnCr(C6O4Cl2)3]-, the magnetic ordering temperature can be finely tuned from 9.8 to 11.2 K by simply changing the benzene-derivative solvent used (PhCl, PhBr, PhI, PhCH3, PhNO2 and PhCN) either pre- or post-synthetically.
