Cover Story: More than two years after the appearance of SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19 is still a public health emergency. Thus, the need to develop new active therapies based on nanomaterials but also derived from natural matrices is evident. Herein, we have reviewed the most innovative nanomaterials that show potential for use as therapeutic agents as well as measures to control virus spread. Furthermore, the review shows how computer-aided technologies can identify, in a rapid and constantly updated way, plant drugs potentially able to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 cell penetration. View this paper
