Cover Story: A miniaturized sensor based on a metal-biopolymer nanocomposite film was developed for the detection of multiple heavy metal ions in water. A novel co-electrodeposition technique allowed the formation of a nanocomposite film on a screen-printed electrode, resulting in improved sensitivity compared to previous studies. The developed sensor was validated with contaminated wastewater samples. View this paper
