Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sports in the 21st Century, 2nd Edition
Topic Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Topic is a continuation of the previous successful Topic “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sports in the 21st Century”.
Sport is an important area of modern social life. The efforts of athletes gather crowds of fans, with new records regularly being set. These records are made possible by the comprehensive preparation of athletes, which takes into account new discoveries from various scientific disciplines. Sporting activities in all forms are becoming increasingly popular. It should be noted that sport is also a very attractive way to spend free time. It provides athletes with psychophysical benefits through training, competing, restoring, and actively exploring the world. Accordingly, we are pleased to invite you to submit articles to the Topic “Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sports in the 21st Century”. We invite authors to submit original research papers, reviews, and opinions on sports at the interface with areas such as biomechanics, economics, ethics, history, kinesiology, management, pedagogy, performance, philosophy, physiology, psychology, safety, and tourism.

Preprints.org is a multidisciplinary platform offering a preprint service designed to facilitate the early sharing of your research. It supports and empowers your research journey from the very beginning.
MDPI Topics is collaborating with Preprints.org and has established a direct connection between MDPI journals and the platform. Authors are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by posting their preprints at Preprints.org prior to publication:
- Share your research immediately: disseminate your ideas prior to publication and establish priority for your work.
- Safeguard your intellectual contribution: Protect your ideas with a time-stamped preprint that serves as proof of your research timeline.
- Boost visibility and impact: Increase the reach and influence of your research by making it accessible to a global audience.
- Gain early feedback: Receive valuable input and insights from peers before submitting to a journal.
- Ensure broad indexing: Web of Science (Preprint Citation Index), Google Scholar, Crossref, SHARE, PrePubMed, Scilit and Europe PMC.
