2017	The inaugural issue was released. Urban Science was published as a quarterly journal.
2018	Urban Science held the first online Editorial Board Member meeting.
2018	Urban Science announced the first edition of the Travel Awards.
2021	Urban Science was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in Web of Science.
2022	Urban Science was indexed in Scopus - Elsevier.
2025	Urban Science adopted a monthly publication schedule. Urban Science established the following sections: Urban Planning and Design; Urban Environment and Sustainability; Intelligent Cities and Technology; Urban Mobility and Transportation; Urban Economy and Industry; Urban Governance for Health and Well-Being.
