Information and Communication Technologies
A section of Technologies (ISSN 2227-7080).
Section Information
Information and communication technology systems are rapidly increasing in their potential and capacities, as supported by advanced electronics, microsystems, photonics, networking and computing. In this context, the “Information and Communication Technologies” section of Technologies aims to publish original peer-reviewed papers covering all aspects of ICT, ranging from wireless communications, artificial intelligence, key enabling technologies (e.g., micro- and nano- electronics, advanced materials, and photonics), advances in cross-cutting ICT applications in the field of robotics, bioengineering and cyber–physical systems, through to progress in data processing and computing. Both theoretical and experimental papers will be considered, as well as review papers. This section provides an indispensable platform for the dissemination of original scientific research aimed at having a large general impact.
In particular (but not exclusively), this section invites contributions pertaining to the following:
- Wireless communications;
- Artificial intelligence and related technologies;
- Antennas and propagation technologies;
- Technologies for internet;
- Optimization methods technologies;
- Cyber–physical systems;
- Biomedical technologies and bioengineering;
- Wearable technologies and flexible/wearable electronics;
- Microsystems, micro- and nano-electronics technologies;
- Sensing technologies;
- Technologies for Industry 4.0;
- Interactive technologies, augmented/virtual reality, and human–machine interfaces.
