Section Information
The section “Surgery” aims to publish clinically relevant, evidence-based, and innovative educational content that advances surgical science and patient care and enables the quick and easy international dissemination of information.
This section is tailored toward healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and scientists worldwide who are concerned with technological advancements in surgery, enhanced clinical practice, and providing the best evidence-based care for their patients. The section is designed to have an interdisciplinary scope with wide appeal across the spectrum of basic, translational, and clinical areas related to many different surgical areas and subspecialties. High priority is given to original research representing crucial accomplishments and novel findings that address major challenges and move the field forward.
The section “Surgery” publishes original research papers, reviews, systematic reviews, and invited commentaries covering the following primary subjects:
