Personalized Treatment and Rehabilitation for Colorectal Cancer
This special issue belongs to the section “Personalized Therapy in Clinical Medicine“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the launch of a Special Issue entitled “Personalized Treatment and Rehabilitation for Colorectal Cancer”, which aims to bring together the latest research and clinical advances in this important field. This issue will focus on innovative approaches to individualized therapy, patient-centered rehabilitation strategies, and multidisciplinary interventions that can improve outcomes and quality of life for colorectal cancer patients.
A key topic of this Special Issue will be the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol, an evidence-based perioperative care pathway designed to reduce surgical stress, accelerate recovery, and improve postoperative outcomes. ERAS integrates optimized anesthesia, minimally invasive surgical techniques, early mobilization, and tailored nutritional support. The protocol represents a paradigm shift from traditional postoperative management, emphasizing patient engagement and multidisciplinary coordination to achieve faster rehabilitation and fewer complications.
We would be delighted if you could contribute your valuable work to this Special Issue. Original research articles and comprehensive reviews focusing on any aspect of personalized treatment, rehabilitation, or the implementation of ERAS protocols in colorectal cancer care are warmly welcome.
Please feel free to share this invitation with your collaborators or colleagues who might be interested in submitting a manuscript. Should you have any questions or require further information, do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you very much for your attention and collaboration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Dr. Gabriella Teresa Capolupo
