Dear Colleagues,
Diagnostic imaging is primarily based on the qualitative assessment of images. In recent years, attention has been brought to the numerical data embedded into these images, thus prompting quantitative evaluations that enable the definition of biomarkers. This approach has produced promising results for a better and more personalized treatment, both of oncological and non-neoplastic diseases.
This Special Issue aims to collect evidence on how imaging can lead to a more personalized treatment, possibly resulting in better response to the treatment.
The radiomic analysis of clinical images has shown promising results in tumor characterization, including differentiating between tumors with different genetic mutations, and in treatment planning and prognostication. Radiomics has also been investigated in several non-oncological scenarios, for example, in cardiac imaging, infectious diseases, and for grading fibrosis.
We invite authors to submit original studies, reviews, meta-analyses, and technical notes on the use of radiomics to develop personalized treatments.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Journal of Personalized Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
