Travel Award
As Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Personalized Medicine (JPM), on behalf of the Travel Award 2017 Committee, it is my pleasure to announce that the winner of the 2017 JPM Travel Award is Chiara Fabbri. Chiara Fabbri graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2011 and she is now finishing her training as a psychiatrist at Bologna University and writing her Ph.D. thesis.
She performs research on the genetics of mood disorders and pharmacogenetics of antidepressants at Bologna University and she spent one year as visiting researcher at the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) King’s College London. She has co-authored around 50 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals. WINNER 2017 TRAVEL AWARD
On behalf of JPM, she will be awarded 800 Swiss Francs to attend the 17th World Congress of Psychiatry that will be held 8–12 October 2017 in Berlin, Germany. There, she will present her work on “Pharmacogenomic meta-analysis of antidepressant treatment response in GENDEP and STAR*D” as an oral presentation in the symposium entitled Pharmacogenomics of Mood Disorders.
