Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Orthopedic oncology is entering a transformative era—driven by advances in imaging, limb-salvage reconstruction, systemic therapies, histology-driven research and targeted therapies, and data-enabled care. This Special Edition of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, “New Clinical Advances in Orthopedic Oncology”, invites high-impact manuscripts that will shape contemporary practice and improve outcomes for patients with bone and soft-tissue tumors. We particularly welcome work spanning orthopedics, medical and radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, and rehabilitation.
We seek original research, rigorous retrospective and prospective cohorts, clinical trials (randomized or pragmatic), registry-based studies, diagnostic accuracy and imaging studies, predictive modeling/AI, technique papers, and state-of-the-art reviews. Priority topics include surgical decision-making and reconstruction; perioperative optimization and complication reduction; metastatic and oligometastatic disease; survivorship, function, and quality of life; pediatric, AYA, and geriatric care; health equity and global oncology; value-based and patient-centered outcomes; and translational bridges—from biomarkers and liquid biopsy to image-guided interventions that bring innovations from bench to bedside.
Submissions will undergo rigorous peer review with an emphasis on transparent methods, reproducibility, and clinically actionable insights. We look forward to your contributions and to advancing the care of patients with musculoskeletal tumors.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs).
