Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is being transformed by groundbreaking innovations, particularly in digital planning, 3D printing, and artificial intelligence (AI). This Special Issue aims to explore how these technologies are reshaping the way complex surgical challenges are approached and solved.
Digital planning and 3D printing have revolutionized surgical precision, enabling customized solutions for maxillofacial reconstruction and trauma management. Similarly, advancements in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) treatments offer improved therapeutic options for disorders that significantly impact quality of life. In parallel, novel approaches in oral oncology are providing more effective and less invasive treatments for patients.
The integration of AI is also unlocking new possibilities, from enhancing diagnostic accuracy to personalizing treatment planning and streamlining workflows. This Special Issue invites contributions that delve into these advancements and their applications in clinical practice, aiming to bridge gaps between research, innovation, and patient care.
By bringing together insights from global experts, this Special Issue seeks to inspire collaboration and drive progress in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes and advancing the field for future generations.
