Dear Colleagues,
The field of cardio-oncology has undergone remarkable expansion in recent years, reflecting the growing need to address cardiovascular complications associated with modern cancer therapies. Cardiotoxicity, in its various forms, remains a significant barrier to optimal oncological outcomes and long-term survivorship. Advances in risk prediction, ranging from circulating biomarkers to genetic profiling and refined imaging modalities, have paved the way for earlier detection of subclinical cardiac dysfunction. At the same time, structured surveillance algorithms and preventive strategies are increasingly integrated into clinical pathways. From a therapeutic perspective, the implementation of cardioprotective regimens, optimization of heart failure therapies, and multidisciplinary management approaches have redefined standards of care. This Special Issue, “Cardiotoxicity Within Cardio-Oncology: Clinical Advances from Prediction to Management”, seeks to highlight clinical and translational progress in this rapidly evolving field. We welcome submissions focusing on novel diagnostic strategies, risk stratification tools, therapeutic interventions, organization of Cardio-Oncology Units and long-term outcomes in cancer patients at risk for, or affected by, cardiotoxicity.
