Modern Concepts on Acoustic Neuroma

This special issue belongs to the section “Otolaryngology“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Vestibular schwannoma is a benign tumor arising from the Schwann cell of the vestibulocochlear nerve. Management includes observation, surgical resection, stereotactic radiosurgery, or fractionated radiotherapy. The choice of management depends on several factors, including the patient's age, tumor size, the presence of tumor growth, hearing function, and the presence of other symptoms.

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue, which includes experiences in the 360-degree management of neurinoma, from observation to gamma knife to surgery.

This Special Issue aims at understanding the current clinical practice that leads to the management decision and, in the case of surgical indication, the choice of approach based on hearing preservation surgery.

In the literature, different authors also discuss the type of resection, namely, gross total, near total, or subtotal, based on various factors and experiences.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome.
We look forward to receiving your contributions.
