Surgical Innovations in Pediatric Orthopedics

This special issue belongs to the section “Orthopedics“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce our upcoming Special Issue, titled “Surgical Innovations in Pediatric Orthopedics”. Surgical innovation in pediatric orthopedics has transformed the way children with musculoskeletal conditions are treated. Advances such as minimally invasive surgery and 3D printing have significantly improved precision, reduced recovery times, and minimized complications. Growth modulation devices and bioresorbable implants allow for more natural development and reduce the need for repeat surgeries. Personalized implants and preoperative planning using 3D models help tailor treatments to each child’s unique anatomy. Additionally, innovations in anesthesia and pain management have made surgeries safer and more comfortable for young patients. These breakthroughs not only improve functional outcomes but also enhance the overall quality of life for children and their families. As technology continues to evolve, pediatric orthopedic surgery is becoming more adaptive, less invasive, and increasingly focused on long-term well-being and mobility.
